Carrier-neutral data center with excellent accessibility

Delay-free, synchronous data mirroring

A high-performance data center needs to be geographically secluded, but also be optimally accessible, especially in terms of its power supply, fiber optic connections, and reachability.

greenDatacenter Zurich West offers ideal accessibility: It lies directly on Switzerland’s main power transmission network and is supplied with a total of 40 megawatts by two independent substations. It is situated in the Zurich–Bern–Basel business triangle only a few hundred meters from the Brugg exit on the A3 highway and is within walking distance of the Lupfig train station.

The carrier-neutral data center’s connectivity is currently covered by 26 fiber optic network operators via 7 independent access shafts with 1 to 3 access routes per carrier. It lies 20 km from Zurich, in line with standard USA security requirements. Zurich, Basel, Bern, Lucerne, and Zug are close enough to allow communication without latency effects (<10 msec). Even data mirroring is not a problem: the outstanding connectivity enables delay-free, synchronous data mirroring; at the full bandwidth of up to 420 Gbit/s for distances of up to 100 kilometers.
